Mechanical/Plumbing Drafter

Job Overview

The Mechanical Drafter will coordinate design activities with project leads and with other team members. The Mechanical Drafter will participate in the preparation and development of project deliverables, ensure project deliverable quality and perform project assignments. The Mechanical Drafter participates in meetings, provides feedback to project team members, participates in design development activities and implementation support.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Prepare and layout piping systems in conformance with required deliverables
• Responsible for updating drawings to as-built condition
• Will participate in interactive planning meetings to help develop scopes and schedules
• Establish design areas within the unit/area of responsibility
• Responsible for utilizing Revit software to create final drawings as required
• Prepare and spool drawings using stratus
• Work with other team members to complete projects on time

Qualifications

• Ability to effectively resolve technical design problems o Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong knowledge of 2D and 3D Revit software
• Ability to use Revit software to perform design tasks
• Solid Microsoft Office experience
• Ability to translate field and design sketches into detailed finished construction documents
• Ability to spool
• Knowledge of multi-discipline project design execution and construction methods
• Have experience in Revit, AutoCad preferred
• Basic knowledge of plumbing/mechanical piping systems preferred
