North Lake Presbyterian Church is a faith based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that seeks to be a people who abide in God’s love, sharing a relationship with Jesus Christ, and sharing his love with others.

Our ministry includes a full program of church activities for all ages that includes both Traditional and Contemporary services, Adult Bible Studies, and Discipleship programs along with Children and Youth ministries. There are numerous other related programs and fellowship activities that have blessed the members and surrounding community for the past 25 years.

The purpose of this hybrid position is to serve on the communications and finance team. These were previously two part-time positions we are looking to merge. The position is responsible to manage ongoing communications for North Lake in the forms of print and digital media which include examples as the website, social media, annual reports, e-newsletters, brochures, advertisements, and church campaign materials as well as supplement our finance office in processing contributions, AR, and AP.

ESSENTIAL TASKS:

• Creates engaging, impactful digital content pieces for distribution across all North Lake’s media platforms which includes digital displays, and printed materials both internal and external.
• Produces mid-week and Sunday slides.
• Develops digital displays and signage.
• Updates website to keep content current both verbal and event pictures.
• Posts and manages content on social media sites.
• Assists with all communications in print or social media as required.
• Interfaces with external media sources as the newspaper, creates and modifies content.
• Ability to multi-task several productions at once and meet scheduled deadlines.
• Assists other members of communications team in optimizing content for social media and web.

· Processing of the weekly contributions to church & thank you letters.

· Coordinate with group leaders for cash receipts.

· Collections and accounts receivables

· Account payable.

· Responsible for our Time Clock software maintenance, payroll processing, and federal tax deposits

· New Hire onboarding

· Administrative tasks i.e.: filing, phone calls, patron assistance

· Performs other duties as assigned by the Financial Manager.

Requirements – Education/ Experience:

Education: An associate degree or 2 years comparable work experience or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.

Required:

2 years of work experience in digital content creation, specifically aimed toward external marketing and brand promotion.

Well versed in social media and online trends.

2 years of work experience using accounting software.

Solid understanding of GAAP.

Intermediate level: Microsoft Suite

Intermediate level: Adobe Creative Cloud & Suite

Solid and polished communication skills.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred:

Demonstrated experience in digital creation software such as Constant Contact and Canva.

Advance skills in website editing with experience in Squarespace.

Able to take high quality digital photos and photography skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
