BEHAVIORAL ANAYLIST - ECSE/K-12
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Possess one of the following professional credentials:
    • Degree in School Psychology
    • Degree in Behavior Analysis
    • Degree in Social Work
    • Degree in Special Education
    • Board Certified Behavior Analyst or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst
    • Such alternatives to the above qualification as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
    • Specific training and experience in behavior analysis, intervention and positive behavior support
    • Possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and physical attributes necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
    REPORTS TO: The Behavior Analyst functions under the direct supervision of the Director of Special Education or the Early Education Center Principal in collaboration with the Director of Early Childhood.
    JOB GOAL: Facilitate effective interventions with students who exhibit behaviors which impact their learning and that of other students.
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     • Assist school teams in developing objective problem statements regarding student behavioral concerns.
    • Collect data to facilitate assessment of the function of the behavior.
    • Propose alternative behaviors and interventions.
    • Model implementation and intervene directly with the student as needed.
    • Facilitate monitoring of response to intervention with targeted behaviors.
    • Collaborate with other specialists and support staff in addressing problems with student behavior.
    • Comply with IDEA process requirements as applicable.
    • Assist the building administration to implement and monitor a building-wide Positive Behavioral Support system.
    • Demonstrate effective human relations and communication skills.
    • Comply with good safety practices.
    • Complies with all district rules, regulations, and policies.
    • Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this position.
    • Other duties as required or assigned.
    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The individual who holds this position is regularly required to walk, hear and speak and must have close moderate and distance vision ability. This individual must be able to travel between district facilities. The position requires a moderate amount of travel and physical activity.
    CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT: The work environment is consistent with typical office/school environment.
    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work calendar to be established by the Board Of Education. Benefits according to Board policies.
    FLSA: Exempt
    RETIREMENT: Public Education Employee Retirement Systems (PEERS)
    CLEARANCES: Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
    EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluations utilizing the Performance Based Support Staff Evaluation process.
