HOW WILL YOU MAKE CHANGE HAPPEN? This role will work closely with project management from SAP to coordinate and drive executionworkstreams that have been identified for the consolidation of the existing S/4 Hana system into the new client S/4 HANA system.The SAP Consolidation Manager will ensure the project team and project leadership has a common understanding of objectives, roles and responsibilities, activities,deliverables and project execution processes. Additionally, the SAP Project Managerwill manage and direct the project team to deliver the committed scope within theschedule and budget constraints contained within the project funding request andproject charter.YOU WILL:
  • Coordinate and facilitate technical discussions to plan and execute projectwork.
  • Work closely with the test coordinator to ensure adequate testing, bothtechnical and functional, are planned and executed during the project.
  • Organize, document and oversee project cutover plans to minimizedisruption and avoid defects.
  • Facilitate project planning sessions with key SMEs and leads in order todraft the project plan and schedule. (including considerations for QuarterEnd Close, SOX freeze and other in-flight projects and business and ITactivities).
  • Gain alignment from project team members and project leadership onactivities, deliverables, time frames, due dates and resources.
  • Monitor project progress and update project plan and schedule accordingly.
  • Ensure that team members know their assigned activities and deliverablesand remove any roadblocks to the team members completing thoseactivities.
  • Ensure weekly team meetings are held and that the team knows what isdue for the next 2 weeks, what is being completed and what is behind.
  • Publish weekly "to-do lists" (for upcoming two weeks) to each team memberto help ensure everyone understands their assigned tasks and timelineswithin which execution is expected.
  • Gather updated task status information each week and update the plan.
  • Work with team members that are behind on tasks to remove road blocksand keep project on track.
  • Escalate issues as necessary for resolution in order to keep project on track
  • Develop a milestone plan and publish progress against the milestone planon a monthly basis.
  • Deploy, train and execute the project-specific issues, schedule, scope, andrisk management process from the existing Execution.
  • Develop a weekly project status report to be provided to the project teamand stakeholders using the Newmont PMO template or a project specifictemplate agreed with the PMO.
  • Provide monthly reporting to the client portfolio leadership, and otherstakeholders as needed.
  • Maintain and administer the Project SharePoint site
  • Facilitate the planning session for Hyper Care and Transition to Supportactivities with SMEs and team leads and develop hyper care and transitionplan.
  • Facilitate any organizational change management related to the project.
  • Manage the execution of the hyper care and transition to support activities.
  • Responsible for project related communications to project team andGovernance Committee.
IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE:
  • Proven experience managing SAP projects in the domains of HR, Payroll,Finance, Supply Chain and EAM
  • Familiarity with SAP technical components such as ABAP programs,Integration patterns using PO, transports and transport paths, basicnetwork fundamentals, Basis work, and other components of an SAPlandscape.
  • Proven ability to align, manage and direct multiple 3rd party vendors on asingle project to meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to align and work closely with other project managers todeliver a large SAP project/program
  • Proven techniques and approaches for managing multiple 3rd party vendorsincluding an offshore outsourcing partner to milestones with qualitystandards
  • Virtual project team management
  • Stakeholder management
  • Principles of Agile such as breaking work down into components anditeration planning. (SAP Activate)
  • Meticulous attention to detail with respect to documentation for meetingagendas, meeting minutes, action, decisions, issue management, riskmanagement, schedule management, scope management.
  • Ability to hold team members accountable to commitments.
  • Ability to communicate project management and technical issues, risks andproject health into presentations that are simple and easy to understand atthe executive level
  • 15 years of SAP experience
  • Has held project manager role for an end to end global projectimplementation
  • Broad understanding of SAP technologies
  • Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Azure
  • Outstanding written presentation skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills including technical and businessfocused communications
  • Candidates must be fluent in the English language.
  • US passport or US Permanent Resident Card (USCIS Form I-551) holder
  • PMI-PMP certification preferred.
