Behavioral Health Technician
This position reports to the Clinical Director
The Behavioral Health Technician will work closely with the medical and clinical team to provide direct services and support to clients. Behavioral Technicians will assist with transportation, facility organization, case management, and urine screens. As an important source of role modeling appropriate boundaries, communication, and responsibility, they will be accountable for reinforcing program structure by demonstrating professional behavior and having regular positive interactions that align with North Georgia Recovery Center’s ethical standards.
Essential Job Functions
1. Monitor, educate, and assist the client in the performance of daily living skills and activities .
2. Participate in transitioning the clients into the program through ensuring they know the program rules, expectations, and schedule.
3. Ensures clients attend scheduled groups and activities.
4. Responsible for client transportation.
5. Maintain client and program records in accordance with the facilities policies and procedures and applicable state regulations.
6. Track the attendance of the clients throughout the day at groups, sessions, activities, and events.
7. Maintain a high level of ethical conduct and behavior with clients.
8. Adhere strictly to confidentiality requirements.
9. Maintain communication with the medical and clinical team about dynamics, behavior, events, and other required-to-report issues.
10. Assists in emergency situations when directed.
11. Completes documentation in a timely manner with the ability to provide documentation and reports to clinical staff when necessary.
Job Responsibilities
1. Responsible for ensuring that all clients are transported to and from clinical programming.
2. Tracking client appointments and transportation needs on shared calendar.
3. Responsible for ensuring client transportation to needed appointments.
4. Ensure that all clients have signed in for the clinical day upon arrival.
5. Log daily attendance into EMR system.
6. Ensure that all clients complete daily chores.
7. Assist in drug screening observations as needed and uploading UA’s into client chart.
8. Ensure that client lunches are ordered and delivered as scheduled.
9. Responsible for ensuring company vehicles are clean, maintained, and in good repair.
10. Assists in attending client outings and ensuring client attendance and safety.
11. Responsible for safety officer responsibilities and ensuring that all facility safety protocols are in place.
12. Ensuring that scheduled Emergency Drills are completed and documented.

Education, Experience, and Additional Requirements
1. High School Diploma or equivalent is required
2. One year of experience in Substance Abuse treatment is preferred and/or a strong professional reference attesting to a high degree of customer service, punctuality, and professionalism
3. A valid Driver’s License
4. 18 years of age or older
5. Must submit to a background test
6. Must submit and pass a drug screen
Knowledge, Abilities and Attitudes Required
1. Knowledge of software programs for personal computer use
2. Knowledge and experience in working with chemically dependent clients
3. Ability to organize and evaluate groups and group activities
4. Ability to effectively resolve conflict and cope with crisis situations
5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to carry out assigned tasks to completion `
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
