Position Summary

We are actively recruiting for a Physician Liaison to join our growing team at North Georgia Eye Center.

Responsibilities

  • At EyeSouth Partners, our Physician Liaisons provide information and facilitate communications between the ophthalmology practice teams and our referring physicians and their staff.

    The Physician Liaison helps:

    • Provide information and education about services, programs, and physicians available at select EyeSouth Partner ophthalmology practices.
    • Collaborate with referring physicians and their staff to aid in patient access and appropriate follow-up communications.
    • Arrange for opportunities to meet with EyeSouth Partners physicians either in your office or at an EyeSouth practice.
    • Keep apprised of special events in the community and promote practice participation.
    • Assist with continuing medical education information and events such as CE courses, lunch-and-learns, and providing educational collateral.

    This unique position combines education and salesmanship. Therefore, the perfect candidate will appreciate marketing, mentoring, promotions, and sales. A candidate with previous ophthalmology practice experience and/or outside sales experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3 years’ experience in healthcare sales strongly preferred.
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
  • Experience analyzing data, statistics, and product lines.
  • General medical knowledge, especially related to our facility's services, treatment offerings, and equipment preferred.
  • Demonstrates ability to use persuasive communication, leadership, and relationship/rapport building.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, public speaking, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, patient service-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrates ability to promote quality improvement through development and maintenance of standards.
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office; especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external.
  • Exercises sound judgment in responding to inquiries; understands when to route inquiries to next level.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within inflexible time frames. Ability to adapt to frequent priority changes.
  • Team player that develops strong collaborative working relationships with internal partners and can effectively engage and ability to build consensus among cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem solving and negotiation skills.
