North Freeze Dry, LLC is Hiring a 3RD SHIFT SUPERINTENDENT Near Little Falls, MN

Job DescriptionPurpose of the PositionThis position is responsible for the third shift operations and management of our freeze dry manufacturing facility located in Little Falls, MN.
Responsibilities & Essential Functions
  • Oversee plant activities to ensure the Company is meeting required production, food safety, quality, workplace safety, and customer commitments during shift.
  • Review production schedules with plant coordinator and drive efficient execution of production schedule.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with production standards.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes result in accurate real-time inventory.
  • Collaborate with corporate inventory accounting, quality, and management as required.
  • Manage staff, determine requirements, efficiencies and provide a recruiting forecast for second shift.
  • Manage retention planning and performance management of manufacturing team members on second shift.
  • Provide leadership for shift team member relations through effective communication, coaching, training, and development with a positive demeanor, openness, taking personal accountability, and having a team and growth mindset approach.
  • Provide feedback and suggested improvements regarding production, quality, safety, and overall efficiencies to Plant Manager.
Plant Manager Specific Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for plant and equipment during shift.
  • Maintain manufacturing facilities working with Plant, Maintenance, and Safety Manager’s, through preventative maintenance, audits, and continuous improvement exercises.
  • Responsible for managing food safety and quality during shift.
  • Work closely with Quality Manager to jointly deliver cohesiveness and unity between production and quality.
  • Lead and cultivate a culture of food safety throughout all second shift employees, programs, and practices.
  • Lead a 5S culture ensuring an organized, clean, and audit ready manufacturing facility.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with overall quality standards, food safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee and hold second teams accountable for successful implementation and adherence of food safety programs and processes within the facility.
Other
  • Execute the North Freeze Dry Vision, Mission, and Values (VMV’s) at all times.
  • Promote a positive, proactive environment where input from team members is valued and encouraged.
  • Provide back-up support for other roles, as necessary.
