Job Purpose : Develops and nurtures children by planning and implementing educational programs; providing day-care; keeping children safe.

Duties :

* Informs parents of curriculum by preparing and submitting lesson plans for each month along with a monthly newsletter; posting schedules and curriculum outlines.

* Stimulates emotional, intellectual, and social growth of students by developing and directing educational programs and activities tailored to assigned class; supervising day care.

* Provides safe environment by maintaining orderly, clean, and appealing facilities; eliminating or removing known safety hazards; following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal recommendations.

* Encourages students' participation by providing interactive activities.

* Keeps parents informed by posting parent information in the classroom; maintaining and sharing records of child's progress and behavior.

* Encourages development of student self-control by utilizing classroom management and modeling techniques.

* Improves educational quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes.

*Participating in 12 hours of in-service training such as educational opportunities pertaining to preschool age and growth. 12 hours of in-service is required by the state of Nebraska for full time staff working in early childhood education.

* Enhances pre-school center reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Skills/Qualification :

CPR & First Aid Certified or obtain within first 90days

Must be 18 years or older and/or.

• Have Associates in Early Childhood Education.
• At least 1500 clock hours working with children.
• In the process of obtaining your early childhood education degree.
• Complete a Nebraska state patrol & Nebraska Adult Abuse and Neglect central registry background check.

Pay: $13.50 - $14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
