The Assistant Director of Learning Design will exhibit exemplary character with a student-centered approach and a focus on school community and mental health and wellness. The successful candidate will have a proven record of accomplishment of supporting teachers to provide robust and enriching learning opportunities for students. The candidate hired for this position will work closely with the NCSU Director of Learning Design and NCUHS Principal as well as other school administrators, teachers, staff, students and community partners to design and implement innovative curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices for grades 9th -12th. Particular attention will be devoted to Proficiency-Based Learning, Personalized Learning Plans, Electronic Portfolios, Universal Design for Learning, Place & Project-Based Learning, Supervision and Evaluation, Designing Professional Development and Organizing PLC’s, and be willing to collaborate with others to create a positive and engaging school culture. Previous teaching and administrative experience required. This is a full-year administrative position. Licensure Requirements: Must have or be eligible for a Vermont AOE administrative license.
