North Country Supervisory Union is Hiring a Restorative Truancy Tutoring Liaison Near Newport, VT
The Restorative Truancy Tutoring Liaison helps support credit recovery and positive attendance transitions for High School and Junior High students. Preferred Qualifications:• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (or strongly related field).• Related experience in educational and/or community service setting.• Supervisory experience.• Knowledge of education and learning strategies• Strong written and verbal communication skills.• Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.Some specific duties: • Communicates with students, families and staff about credit recovery plans, schedules, and barriers to attendance/success.• Conducts attendance and progress conferences.• Coordinates ad assigns tutors.• Attends Restorative Truancy meetings.Wage & Benefits: The hours would be up to 20 hours per week through the remainder of the school year. Hourly rate of $27.00.
