Role Overview: 

As an Operational Administrator, you will work closely with the Business Manager to ensure our greenhouse facility's smooth and efficient operation. From managing day-to-day administrative tasks to supporting employee management and health and safety initiatives, you will play a key role in helping our business succeed. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist the Business Manager in coordinating daily operations and workflow. 
  • Manage job postings and communication channels to attract and retain top talent. 
  • Support employee management processes, including scheduling and performance management. 
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, and events to ensure effective communication and collaboration. 
  • Procure materials and supplies for greenhouse operations, maintaining inventory levels and cost-effectiveness. 
  • Assist with workers' compensation claims and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. 
  • Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to create a safe working environment for all employees. 
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping. 

Requirements: 

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with HR software or systems preferred. 
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. 
  • Willingness to go above and beyond to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
