North Central Behavioral Health Systems is Hiring a Crisis Intervention Specialist Afternoons Graham Hospital Near Canton, IL

NORTH CENTRAL BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SYSTEMS

POSTING

POSITION: Crisis Intervention Specialist
LOCATION: Hospital Based Emergency Room (Canton, IL)
HOURS: Sunday through Thursday 2:00 pm ‐ 10:30 pm with rotating on call hours
CLASSIFCATION: 6c
POSITION Overview:

 Completes assessments of clients in crisis within ED of local hospitals to determine appropriate
level of care

 Completes de‐escalation of clients with acute symptoms
 Screens and evaluates clients for higher level of care
 Completes clinical assessments and treatment plans for clients deflected from ED
 Completes referrals for follow up from ED or to inpatient psych facilities
 Works after hours on a rotating evening and weekend schedule


Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Family Therapy or Human Service
Field or LPN/RN

 Bachelor’s Degree in like field with 2 years’ work experience in a Behavioral Health setting
 High School Diploma and 5 years working experience in clinical role in a behavioral health setting

Salary and Benefits

 Additional pay for after hours on call and call out pay
