The Office of Research and Innovation (ORI) is seeking an Interdisciplinary Technical Writer. The position will serve as a key liaison between subject matter experts and broader stakeholders, specializing in distilling intricate technical concepts into comprehensive and precise documents. The Interdisciplinary Technical Writer will be responsible for crafting detailed technical documents, reports, and publications that convey the depth and significance of research findings to internal and external audiences. This position will work with university-identified strategic interdisciplinary research teams and initiatives. The position requires a keen ability to understand and interpret a range of technical topics, communicate research methods effectively, and deliver comprehensive content. The position will need to possess the ability to work through a wide range of scientific disciplines, including science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) as well as social sciences. Operating with a high level of autonomy, the Interdisciplinary Technical Writer will play a critical role in managing communication projects, ensuring that the technical nuances of research are accurately represented. Additionally, this position will contribute to elevating the ORI’s profile by effectively showcasing the depth and impact of its research initiatives, supporting the ORI’s mission to foster innovation and research excellence within the university community.
