North Carolina Office of State Human Resources is Hiring a HR Technician I - Temporary Solutions Near Raleigh, NC

This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified for the job. This temporary position is located in Raleigh - Wake County.


Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $17.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 805 Ruggles Dr., Raleigh, NC 27603.

This position will be responsible for completing the required documentation needed for pre-employment, temporary, and intern requests, assisting with recruitment needs as necessary including but not limited to screening for the most qualified applicants.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

NOTE: Qualified applicants must meet and CLEARLY reflect on their application training and experience and all knowledge, skills, abilities, and any experience or competencies specified in the posting and/or supplemental question(s) to be considered.   • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to edit written communications, including use of correct grammar, vocabulary, spelling, proof-reading, and office terminology to compose and/or proofread correspondence
  • Experience preparing ad hoc reports
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret, explain and apply policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Demonstrated experience in effective organization, written and verbal communication, customer service, and decision-making skills
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Associate’s degree, typically in Human Resources from an appropriately accredited institution or relevant field and no years of experience required; or
High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and 2 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
