North Bay Pediatrics was established in 1984 to provide comprehensive medical care. Our goal is to provide excellent pediatric care and support our valued staff!

Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures
- Assign appropriate DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) codes to ensure proper reimbursement
- Utilize ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately code medical procedures and diagnoses
- Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies for reimbursement
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve any billing discrepancies
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation for accurate billing

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in medical billing or coding is required

-experience with Epic ehr
- Proficient in coding using ICD-9 and ICD-10 systems
- Knowledge of DRG coding methodology is preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
