Qualifications
· 2 years’ experience in accounting or finance recommended, with demonstrated progression in responsibilities
· Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting standards
· Knowledge of accounting systems and proficient Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
· Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity

Responsibilities
· The Controller’ Assistant will play a key role in supporting the Controller in managing the day-to-day financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and creating recurring reports

· Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with company policies
· Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting
· General Ledger Management: Oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, reviewing entries for accuracy and completeness
· Month-end Close: Assist in coordinating and managing month-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
· Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis, identify trends and variances, and provide insights and recommendations to management to support decision-making
· Internal Controls: Assist in establishing and maintaining effective internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks
· Audit Support: Support internal and external audit processes by providing documentation, responding to inquiries, and addressing audit findings as needed
· Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations
· Assist with accounts payable and receivable entries as needed
· Regular responsibilities include additional duties as assigned to meet company needs
· Complete bank reconciliations and post necessary adjusting entries
