Position Overview: The Dental Director will play a pivotal role in providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to our dental team while ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care. This position requires a skilled dentist with a commitment to clinical excellence, team development, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

1. Clinical Leadership:

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight to ensure the delivery of high-quality dental care in accordance with best practices, regulatory standards, and organizational protocols.
  • Collaborate with dental providers to develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Conduct regular chart reviews, case consultations, and peer reviews to ensure adherence to clinical standards and identify opportunities for improvement.

2. Mentorship and Training:

  • Develop and implement mentorship programs to support the professional growth and development of dental providers at all levels.
  • Provide hands-on mentorship and coaching to dental staff, including new graduates and experienced professionals, to enhance clinical skills, treatment planning, and patient communication.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development by organizing and facilitating training sessions, workshops, and continuing education opportunities.

3. Quality Assurance:

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Implement quality assurance measures to address gaps in performance and improve overall patient care delivery.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.

4. Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including administrative staff, other healthcare providers, and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate regularly with dental providers to provide feedback, address concerns, and promote a positive work environment.
  • Serve as a liaison between the dental department and executive leadership, providing updates on clinical operations, performance metrics, and strategic initiatives.

5. Research and Innovation

  • Stay abreast of the latest developments, trends, and advancements in dental practice, technology, and research.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in clinical workflows, treatment modalities, and patient care delivery.
  • Participate in research projects, clinical trials, or academic collaborations to contribute to the advancement of dental science and evidence-based practice.

Oualifications:

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current state dental license in good standing.
  • Board certification or eligibility for board certification in a recognized dental specialty preferred.
