Rural Access to Community Care and Education (RACCE)
Job Summary
North Alabama AHEC is looking for community-minded individuals with a passion for helping others. Serving in a dual role as a program coordinator and community health worker (CHW), you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of a new program geared to train youth and young adults as CHWs. You will assist in the establishment of a training space; facilitate the training of up to 20 youth/young adults; and serve your community by connecting residents to needed resources. Our candidate will strive to create positive experiences for all participants and repeat best practices for future programs. As a well-respected member of the community, you will be promoted as a trustworthy resource of information by your neighbors and community partners. We expect each candidate to meet company goals as well as have a commitment to career development and growth. You must reside in Lawrence county in the proximity of North Courtland, Courtland, Town Creek, Hillsboro etc.

Compensation
The position is part-time independent contractor. (Currently funded through Dec ’24). Compensation is dependent on academic background and experience. Pay range is $18 - 20 per hour.
