Responsibilities and duties:

• Provides direction and support to team members to meet shift production goals
• Trains others in the department
• Serves as a technical resource. Trouble shoots and problem-solves production/machine issues.
• Assists in streamlining and improving processes in EDM department
• Runs or sets up machines and manufactures parts as needed.

Skills and experience:

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to communicate well with others – in and outside the department.
• Experience operating and setting up EDM machines (sinker or wire)
• Prior training experience preferred. Must be able to train and develop others
• Ability to prioritize jobs and assist others to meet production goals
• Solid computer and math skills.
• Must be able to read prints and/or drawings
• May assist with updating Work Instructions as needed.
