Join Our Team as a Salesperson at Norm Reeves- Toyota San Diego!

Location: San Diego, CA | Onsite | Type: Full Time | Salary Range $45,000 - $140,000

As an Automotive Salesperson, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of Toyota San Diego by effectively selling vehicles to potential customers. Your primary responsibility will be to guide customers through the entire sales process, from initial inquiries to finalizing the sale, all while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Drawing upon your in-depth knowledge of our product offerings and excellent interpersonal skills, you will connect with customers, understand their needs, and provide tailored recommendations to meet their preferences and budget.

We’re looking for a team player with an outgoing, customer-service approach to daily responsibilities. This is a great entry point for a career with us, for someone who already has customer service or a general sales background (like electronics, appliances, real estate, B2B, marketing, etc.)

Your Mission:

  • Customer Engagement: Greet and establish rapport with customers as they visit the dealership.
  • Act as the main point of contact and build lasting relationships to encourage repeat business and
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the vehicles available for sale,
  • including their features, specifications, performance capabilities, and pricing options. Effectively
  • communicate this information to potential buyers.
  • Needs Assessment: Listen attentively to customers' preferences and requirements to identify the
  • most suitable vehicles from our inventory. Provide expert advice and suggestions based on their
  • needs and budget.
  • Demonstrations and Test Drives: Arrange and conduct vehicle demonstrations and test drives to
  • showcase the features, comfort, and performance of different models. Highlight unique selling
  • points and address any concerns.
  • Sales Process: Lead customers through the entire sales process, from initial contact and vehicle
  • selection to negotiation and finalizing the sale. Provide transparent pricing information and
  • facilitate financing discussions when necessary.
  • Negotiation: Skillfully negotiate pricing, financing terms, trade-in values, and any other aspects of
  • the transaction. Strive to find mutually beneficial agreements that meet both the customer's
  • expectations and dealership's objectives.
  • Paperwork and Documentation: Ensure accurate completion of all sales-related paperwork,
  • contracts, and documentation. Collaborate with the administrative team to ensure smooth and
  • efficient processing.
  • Customer Experience: Deliver outstanding customer service throughout the buying journey,
  • maintaining open communication and promptly addressing customer inquiries or concerns.
  • Sales Targets: Work toward achieving or exceeding individual and dealership sales targets to
  • contribute to the overall success of the team.
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about automotive trends, competitors' offerings, and industry
  • developments to adapt your sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Solid understanding of vehicles' technical specifications and features.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to handle objections effectively.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant tools.

  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required.
