Role- Fiscal/ Finance Analyst
Location- Trenton, NJ 08625
Contract- Onsite
Duration – 12 Months
Work hours: 9:00am to 5:00 pm
lunch period: 12:00pm to 1:00 pm (Unpaid)
Responsibilities :-
Equipment to be used :Scanner, Computer, Phone, Copier, Electronic Calculator.
Computer software to be used: Microsoft Office (EXCEL, POWERPOINT, AND WORD), Grant Vantage, Outlook, other Grant Systems as determined.
Knowledge, skills, education, and/or experience: Bachelor’s Degree and accounting experience.
Mandatory skills/certification(s) Requirement: Accounting background
Desired skills: Ability to review quarterly fiscal reports for accuracy; perform account reconciliation and analysis; assist in basic unit fiscal report preparation; Able to use excel proficiently, good with computer system ; quick learners.
Job Description:
Compile data and prepare regular or special financial statements, records or reports.
Prepare financial documents for management approval. Assist with fiscal year end activities, including reconciling accounts and adjustments to the general ledger, analysis and posting of expenditure and revenue accruals, and their reversals.
Review procurements for accuracy; Perform complex accounting tasks that post and reconcile all aspects of payroll.
Prepare monthly detailed cash flow reports.
Monitoring and verifying accounting information; interpreting regulations and policies related to the area of assignment.
Reviewing and processing electronic transactions such as student accounts, accounts receivable and payable, financial aid, real estate contracts, purchase orders, invoices, payroll and/or grants.
Analyzing management information; identifying issues and discrepancies; formulating recommendations based on findings.
Participating in the annual budgeting process.
Database review responsibilities
Work with others well.
Be willing to take direction from multiple supervisors.
Be willing to work on multiple projects throughout the day.
Computer savvy.
Able to work in databases and spreadsheets.
Knows excel as well.
