Starting Pay - $18 an hour depending on experience

General Job Description:

• Confirms that all hourly employees on their line are properly trained in their physical duties and are also following GMPs and SOPs.
• Complete necessary daily paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Works with the Production Supervisor and QA Lead to assure that adequate resources are available so that production is conducted in a manner that achieves food safety, quality, and conforms to all regulatory guidelines.
• Supports the development, implementation, maintenance and ongoing improvement of the production facility.
• Identifies deficiencies in their area and ensures they are handled effectively and efficiently, prioritizing activities for the highest level of employee safety, food safety, and quality.
• Will be involved in reviews of the quality systems, at least annually. Helps to conduct reviews of internal and external audit findings, policy manual, corrective actions and their investigations and resolutions, customer complaints and their resolutions and investigations.
• Assists in handling customer complaints. Will work with all departments regarding product safety or quality issues for both resolution and to identify trends that may indicate problems.
• Is involved with all regulatory issues including inspections and compliance issues.
• Works directly with QA to resolve product issues that involve any aspect of the production facility.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area. Cleans throughout the day.
• Perform duties at the direction of supervisor including any special projects or other assignments as needed.

Requirements

Summary of Experience and Education

High school education or GED preferred. 2-3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment is required. Experience with HACCP, BRC, and sanitiation is preferred. Experience in motiviating performance and team building is required.

Employee must have the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently, to twist, bend and climb regularly.

Must be able to work in a wide range of temperatures (-10 F to 45 F).

Successful candidates will be able to identify and resolve problems quickly and balance team and individual responsibilities.

Must be consistently at work and on time

Licenses and Certifications

Nor-Am will certify all equipment operators with site specific training, valid driver’s license preferred.
