Nooter/Eriksen is seeking an Aftermarket Inside Sales Engineer to join the Aftermarket Team. This role is part of a team that is responsible for providing customers with support and major retrofits for existing Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGS) and Industrial Power Boilers. Our offices are located in Fenton, MO. The expectation is that this will be a hybrid position depending on business needs.

DAY IN THE LIFE:

The Aftermarket Inside Sales Engineer reports directly to the Aftermarket Manager of Sales and Business Development and will support Aftermarket sales and project activity by building relationships and providing prompt, knowledgeable, and applicable responses to Aftermarket team.

As an Aftermarket Inside Sales Engineer, you will assist Account Coordinators, Aftermarket Managers, and Project Managers to develop potential aftermarket activity and ensure customers receive prompt and knowledgeable responses, quote and manage projects involving sale of parts, engineering services, and inspection services in support of Account Coordinators, Aftermarket Managers, and Project Managers. You will write project specific documents and emails to request supplier proposals, generate proposal pricing based on the bidding strategy developed in conjunction with the Account Coordinators and Aftermarket Managers, and build professional relationships with the entire Aftermarket team and personnel in other areas of Nooter/Eriksen that will provide support or guidance on project work.

Additionally, you will need to become technically competent in the general aspects of the design and operation of an HRSG including thermal datasheets, coil configurations, types of valves and where they are used, coil supports, casing penetrations, start-up of the HRSGs, duct burners, CO, and SCR catalyst and become technically competent in the typical commercial offerings of the Nooter/Eriksen Aftermarket department.

QUALIFICATIONS. We want the person selected for this role to be successful! The following qualifications are essential to be effective in this role:

  • Bachelor of Science from an accredited engineering school, or equivalent work experience.
  • 0-2 years of experience in industrial sales or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Proactive, and able to work both independently and with a team.
  • Highly professional, organized, and trustworthy team player.
  • Proficiency in English.

Ability to read, write, problem solve, make quick decisions, interpret data and analyze results; effective written and verbal communication is essential.
