Job Summary:
Provides evaluation of and care for respiratory therapy patients. Administers prescribed respiratory therapeutic services.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
Licensed with the State of Minnesota as a Respiratory Therapist.
Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Successful completion of the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Neonatal / Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialty (NPS) examinations within 1 year of employment.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
PALS NRP certified or within 6 months of employment.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide both routine and emergency respiratory care or therapy to patients
Set up and operate respiratory devices and equipment
Develop and ensure plans of care are followed in collaboration with the Director of Respiratory Care, physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, PT/OT/SLP, and other therapists
Maintain accurate patient records, document therapy sessions, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
