Primary Objective: Responsibilities include supporting the field sales force and domestic and international customers for Nonin’s various market segments. Duties include handling a variety of phone calls, process sales orders, credit returns, determine product availability, determine appropriate pricing, prioritize orders based on availability and communicate shipping dates with customers.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Answer phone calls, process orders over the phone, educate consumers on differences in product family, handle product returns, and inquiries.
  • Accept, acknowledge, edit, revise and process customer purchase orders.
  • Use knowledge of market segments and sales channel to determine best course of action for customer inquiry.
  • Follow proper sales channel flow process to determine proper sales distribution.
  • Set up new accounts and revise current accounts; monitor customer account status and orders for customers.
  • Be aware of and consider inventory and production information while advising the availability of product and determining when and which purchase orders will ship.
  • Work with Customer Advocacy Team Lead to determine best course of action and resolve issues regarding backorders, holds, delays, returns, and replacements. Clarify customer’s complaint and select best solution to solve the problem in the form of billing adjustments, returns, short shipments, exchanges and expediting these adjustments.
  • Provide appropriate clinical application and technical information regarding all products, including providing product descriptions and product capabilities.
  • Maintain appropriate information in customer and/or distributor CRM records. Including special pricing, special communications or situations/events which occur uniquely to each customer.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED and 1-3 years of related experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Customer-focused attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language in order to effectively communicate with co-workers, customers, or distributors, and to comprehend documents such as operating and procedure manuals, sales and distribution agreements, and letters of credit.
  • Ability to maintain productivity despite frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, freight estimates, dimensional weight, invoices, and percentages.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Related experience in the medical device industry.
  • Familiarity with ERP, AX Dynamics system and/or databases.
  • Experience with international shipping.

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand, and/or sit 8 hours per day.
