As a Senior Project Engineer - Non Process Infrastructure, you will be reporting to Area Manager – Non-Process Infrastructure and your key interfaces will include Project controls, Procurement and Contracts and Engineering and Design functions.

What you’ll do

We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer - Non Process Infrastructure to join our team in Perth.

The role responsibilities include:

  • Effectively manage a small multidiscipline project or larger single discipline scope through any/all project phases as well as manage and coordinate multidiscipline engineering activities to ensure projects are executed in a safe, efficient, cost effective and timely manner.
  • Act as primary technical co-ordination interface with client to ensure that the client's expectations are satisfied as well as ensure the project conforms to the client's approved Basis of Design and all applicable regulatory and code requirements.
  • Effectively contribute or produce execution plans and strategies for projects.
  • Demonstrates full commitment to all health and safety matters and provides safety leadership to project team.
  • Has participated in Constructability, Operability and Maintainability Workshops.
  • Oversees, motivates and monitors the performance of the team, ensuring quality and timeliness of assignments and roles, and addresses any performance gaps.
  • Applies knowledge of all aspects of a project (engineering, procurement, quality control, etc.) to oversee the successful execution of the project plan.
  • Understanding of procurement/subcontracting and on-site construction support.
  • Project design deliverables and design quantities are tracked and analyzed.
  • Tracks cost and schedule and uses analytical skill to forecast trends.
  • Manages execution, coordination, and implements regular reviews/controls to track project progress and develops action plans to address project tasks and issues.
  • Good understanding of Project Control Reports and identified problem areas, and effectively communicates and take a leadership role in preparing and presenting proposals and reports to staff and management.

What you’ll have

  • Can makes independent decisions and set priorities related to complex situations based on established guidelines and taking into account the cost and schedule impacts to the project.
  • Sound knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint and can organize information from many sources and retain as per the prescribed format and policies.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Access and Visio.
  • EPCM, EPC including site assignments; Multi-Cultural / Multi-National environments.
  • Extensive years of engineering experience, including relevant supervisory, project management and/or technical experience; Workshare experience; E, EP project experience.
  • Substantial technical, practical and leadership experience in the relevant discipline and proven experience in project engineering on smaller projects, with associated commercial and contractual experience.
  • A recognised engineering degree in the relevant discipline or equivalent.
