Front desk team is a first impressions team of service-oriented people with a dedicated focus on security and protocol. They maintain a strict adherence to appropriate guidelines for the office, visitors and guest.

The front desk team provides administrative support to the front office staff by assisting with clerical functions such as tracking and delivering correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, scheduling meetings, and handling office tasks as assigned.

Also assists in preparing executive correspondence. This is a 5 to 8-year government contract delivering full time work and benefits with a government contracting company, not a temporary service.

Responsibilities and Primary Duties :

Acts as the first line of defense for ensuring only authorized personnel enter the TRMC suite

Checks JPAS for security clearance verification

Arranges for new employees to receive required govt equipment

Makes mail runs within the Mark Center and to the Pentagon weekly (free shuttle)

Answers phones / takes messages / transfers calls

Assists in preparing executive correspondence

Arranges for visitor parking

Arranges for repair of cubicles, chairs etc. within the suite

Verifies visit requests of personnel attending classified / unclassified meetings

Occasionally escorts visitors to / from the MC Visitor's Center

Escorts janitorial staff, inspectors, etc.

Schedule, coordinate and manage meeting calendars using Outlook and Word

Assist with daily ad hoc tasks in the office

Dresses professionally

Orders office supplies such as paper, pens, notepads, etc.

Resolves conflicts

Executing clerical tasks and uses computers

Uses Microsoft Office suite

Interacts professionally with visitors and assigned personnel across the spectrum of worker and leadership levels

Works without direct supervision

Updates contact info for employees on shared drive spreadsheets

Minimum Required Skills :

Active Secret Clearance

0 to 4 years experience executing clerical task and using computers

Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills

Excellent organizational skills

Professional presentation and demeanor and the ability to interact with significant visitors, guest and executives

Desired Skills :

Bachelors Degree or equivalent

DoD or National Capital Region work experience

Proficient with using the Defense Travel System (DTS)

Proficient with Correspondence and Task Management System

DoD or National Capital Region work experience
