Nodaway Valley CSD in SW Iowa seeks a Director of Transportation for the 2024-2025 school year. Must be knowledgeable of Federal and State laws and regulations related to K-12 student transportation. Oversees and ensures compliance with all regulations governing bus driver licensing and Department of Transportation regulations, including background checks and Department of Transportation-required physicals.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to ensure communication between District administration, building principals, transportation staff, and building staff; to execute defined work assignments; to evaluate and solve problems; to recognize and remedy common safety and health hazards. 

Knowledge of appropriate maintenance procedures for school vehicles and the ability to maintain vehicle records is preferred. A valid driver’s license and CDL are required. 

This is a shared position with a local school district.
