Noblis is Hiring a NAVSEA 05D Engineering Project Analyst Near Washington, DC

Responsibilities

Noblis MSD is seeking a Navy Project Analyst to support the Commander, Naval Sea Systems Command, In-Service Engineering Branch (SEA05D). This postion will provide direct support to the director of In-service SHip Design and Engineering. This position offers a flexible work schedule with the ability to work remotely when authorized. This is an exiticing environment that will often require working on multiple projects simultaneously. It will be essential to adapt quickly and stay organized. 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Create and manage SharePoint sites and MS Teams channels.
  • Develop, edit, route and track to completion official correspondence packages. 
  • Draft, update, edit and distribute documents, including organization charts, onboarding materials, travel funding trackers, weekend watch rosters, etc.. 
  • Verify technical data related to fleet activities and respond to customer inquiries using available tools, resources, and online databases and repositories. 
  • Upon verification of data/situation, determine the appropriate course of action, present sound analytical findings to customer, and draft emails or prepare presentation materials with the appropriate response.
  • Compile information from multiple sources (databases, repositories, reports, tech manuals, stakeholder input, DFSs, white papers, critiques, letters, naval studies/initiatives) to produce deliverables such as technical presentation materials in PowerPoint, or on dashboards in SharePoint sites, or longer form documents akin to manuals or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Access a myriad of databases and websites, upkeep access permissions, master navigating and exporting data, analyze data and determine what data is germane, develop response or recommendation based on analysis
  • Conduct analysis and makes recommendations to support to Fleet Maintenance & Industrial Management, Systems Engineering, and Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC) initiatives. Plans non-nuclear, US Navy Maintenance and Modernization activities, taking into account schedule, cost, content and technical considerations.
  • Working independently with general instruction, apply intermediate skills to deliver high quality work products and services to support projects.
  • Responsible for planning and managing project deliverables and engaging in open-minded interactions with clients and coworkers to deliver results. Responsible for expanding your capabilities in current work and leveraging opportunities to grow through interactions across the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 3 years of relevant experience, OR, a Master's degree in a relevant field OR High school diploma or GED and 9 years of relevant experience 
  • Active DoD security clearance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Outlook)
  • Experience in collection, organization, manipulation, display, charting and analysis of project and data from multiple sources
  • Capability to craft responses to data call/reports from NAVSEA and TYCOM/Fleet leadership
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in technical writing and editing
  • Navy experience and a working knowledge of Naval acronyms is a plus
  • Experience working at a naval shipyard, TYCOM, or other NAVSEA Organization is a plus

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with writing Navy letters, and official Naval Correspondence. 
  • Prior experience working with RMC Code 200 Engineering or NAVSEA Technical Warrant Holders

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.

Posted Salary Range

USD $61,600.00 - USD $107,800.00 /Yr.
