In response, DHS S&T was established by Congress to provide innovative scientific and technical solutions to the nation's homeland security challenges. DHS S&T supports basic and applied research, development, testing and evaluation (RDT&E) that provides the tools and knowledge products to support the Homeland Security missions of DHS components and first responders. DHS S&T supports these RDT&E activities at a range or performer and government facilities, including DHS S&T-run research facilities across the U.S. This role serves as executive assistant/management analyst to executive leadership assisting with all office administrative functions; reviewing and editing program documents; developing and updating briefs; and coordinating meetings, travel, submission of administrative documents for staff, training, records management, tasker responses, and process improvements. Role functions may include: * Answering directly to DHS S&T executive leadership for a DHS laboratory facility. * Assisting with all office administrative functions including answering phones, scheduling appointments, drafting correspondence, processing travel orders, and training requests. * Working collaboratively with all laboratory facility team members. * Reviewing and editing program documents (e.g., work plans, strategic plans, lab briefings, meeting agendas, outreach & marketing materials) as required. * Drafting, reviewing, tracking, and responding to all inquiries from leadership and adjacent organizations. * Coordinating executive leadership meetings and supporting executive leadership on correspondence and data requests and coordinating flow of reports and action items. * Assisting with report writing and compilation, drafting and editing policy and procedure documents, and drafting letters and memoranda. * Coordinating and processing travel for executive leadership. * Serving as a staff training coordinator. * Archiving and managing relevant program documents files in accordance with DHS Records Management guidance. * Assisting in security activities where needed. * Documenting relevant discussions and programmatic reviews. Qualifications Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or Associate's degree and 7 years of relevant experience. * Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. * Ability to obtain a Secret-level Security Clearance and DHS Suitability Desired Qualifications: * Programmatic or management experience supporting DoD and/or DHS components (e.g., TSA, CBP, FPS, CISA, CWMD, USCG, ICE). * Ability to work in a dynamic team-oriented environment, demonstrate teamwork and initiative, and function productively in the face of new assignments and the re-prioritization of existing assignments. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks. * Experience with administrative management of government offices preferred. * Proficiency with government budget execution processes and government acquisition processes. * Proficiency with government travel procedures and guidelines, and time and attendance systems. * Strong technical writing skills, targeting both technical and non-technical audiences. * Ability to multitask independently in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across multiple teams and with multiple team members. * Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint . * Secret-level Security Clearance and DHS Suitability preferred. Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis' total compensation package for employees.
