Noble Transitions is Hiring a Home-Based Caseworker Near Greencastle, IN

Home-Based Caseworker – Independent Contractor

Are you dedicated to supporting families through challenging transitions and fostering positive connections between parents and their children? Join us an Independent Contractor, engaging in impactful work by providing home-based case management and supervised visitation services to families in collaboration with the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS). We are seeking providers in Putnam, Hamilton, Hendricks, and surrounding counties. You will be issued a 1099 at the end of the year.

Noble Transitions, LLC is a children and family social service agency committed to advocating for family well-being. As a contracted service provider for DCS, we prioritize holistic support, empowering families through a range of services aimed at facilitating family support, preservation, and reunification.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver family-focused services to aid families in crisis, enhancing parenting and family functioning while prioritizing children’s safety
  • Provide community-based case management services, offering support to parents in their caregiving role
  • Assist parents in addressing concerns related to child abuse and/or neglect, guiding families towards self-sufficiency goals, and enhancing parenting skills to promote optimal child development
  • Independently manage caseloads, ensuring DCS service delivery requirements are met, and provide transportation assistance, as necessary
  • Facilitate supervised visitation, organize parent education sessions, and identify suitable community resources
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, safety plans, and monthly reports

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, or Human Development/Family Studies from an accredited university; OR,
  • High School Diploma, GED, or associate degree, AND a minimum of 4 years of full-time employment experience providing direct casework services to children & families, including working with families in need of child protection and care services
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license, access to a private vehicle, and compliance with DCS policy regarding minimum car insurance coverage
  • Ownership of a personal laptop and accessories
  • Availability to handle a minimum of 2 active cases per week

Required Background Checks:

  • Fingerprint-Based National and State Criminal History Checks
  • Child Protective Services (CPS) History Checks
  • National Sex Offender Registry Checks
  • Local Law Enforcement Agency (LEA) Court Record Checks
  • Local Law Enforcement Agency Name-Based Arrest Record Searches

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Evidence-Based Practices and Motivational Interviewing
  • At least 1 year experience/familiarity with the child welfare system, CHINS family law, and understanding of child abuse/neglect and adult/child development.
  • Strong communication, organization, critical thinking, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work independently
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
  • Evening and weekend availability.
  • Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply, but bilingual skills are not mandatory

Pay:

  • Reimbursement ranging between $35 - $40 per hour based on experience.
