Summary
Technician uses a backpack sprayer designed for precise application, to target trees, shrubs and plants with a barrier spray that both kills and repels
mosquitoes. Technicians treat yards for ticks using a granular product along the ecotones of the customer's yard. Fly control utilizes a combination
of a backpack treatment of the grass and an aerosol that targets specific attractants like trash can lids. Technicians are required to operate a
company vehicle, lift 60 lb blowers and mix chemicals.

Essential Functions

• Driving and operating the company truck safely.
• Communicating effectively with customers during, prior, and after service is completed.
• Operating the backpack blower and other company equipment safely.
• Mix chemicals safely and effectively as the label describes.
• Completing daily routes in order and communicating any concerns to Management.
• Disposing of chemical containers properly before exchanging them for new ones.

Minimum Qualifications

• Acquire minimum accreditation with the State Agriculture Department to treat mosquitoes.
• Valid US Driver's License and clear driving record
• Approved background check (void of any assault, burglary/theft, DUI’s or moving violations).
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as product labels, safety rules, operations manual, and written directions.
• Ability to lift and carry a 60lb blower.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to use Slack app to communicate interpersonally with office staff and Management.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with both customers and other employees.

Physical Demands
Must be able to lift 60lb backpacks for up to 15-20 minutes at a time. Must be able to climb in and out of the truck to get products and supplies
throughout the day. Occasional, kneeling, balancing, and reaching will be necessary as well.
Work Environment
Exposure to weather including summer heat or cold, and once trained will be required to mix non-toxic chemicals with the proper PPE.
Operating a company truck, and using equipment that generates a loud noise that requires ear protection to prevent possible damage to hearing.
