Colfax, WA is 60 minutes from Spokane. Weekend coverage of a small ER with a volume of 3300/year. Shifts run 63 hours. Epic is the EMR. Travel and malpractice insurance covered.
Overview
Whitman Hospital and Medical Center (WHMC) is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital serving rural communities as a Public Hospital District. WHMC has received national recognition for service, quality and technology and most recently was named one of the nation's Top 5% HEALTHSTRONGHospitals by iVantage Health Analytics. Located in the rolling wheat fields of the Palouse, Colfax offers a comfortable, affordable lifestyle with quality schools and many outdoor recreational activities, including a 9-hole public golf course. WHMC is a Level V Trauma Designation that focusses on stabilization and transporting to higher level of care facilities for trauma. The hospital participates closely with Sacred Heart in Spokane via the Tele Robot for Code Stroke patients. There is also tele-psych through Providence. We have Cardiac Level 1, Code Stroke, Code Trauma, Code Blue, and Rapid Response protocols to assure patients receive prompt care in these critical emergencies.
