West-Coast Travel Nurse

NJY Camps is a leader in the overnight summer camp industry located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains.

Join our team of medical professionals including 8 nurses, 2-3 doctors, and 2 administrators to gain first hand experience in a fast paced medical environment while at the same time, enjoying a beautiful 1200 acre facility with amazing opportunities for recreation during time off. NJY Teen Camp is heading on a West-Coast adventure this summer, spanning July 14 to August 2. The West-Coast Travel Nurse will travel with the group to provide medical supports for the duration of our trip. This position includes all room & board, admissions to every programmatic stop (Disneyland, the Grand Canyon, Los Angeles, the Last Vegas Sphere, etc.) in addition to a competitive salary!

The dates of this role are early June 20th to August 2nd. With some date flexibility on the arrival date..

Learning Opportunities:

• Work in a fast-paced environment learning and treating various medical issues
• Collaborate with a team of experienced nurses and doctors
• Utilize interpersonal skills to console injured campers and staff

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed to practice professional nursing (PA License is required) - We can help you obtain a license if needed
• Pediatric, public health or emergency room nursing experience helpful
• Ability to live on Milford, PA campsite/travel with camp during tenure

Responsibilities

• Conduct sick call for campers and staff during established hours
• Manage medication distribution through online platform
• Develop plan of care for campers and staff & monitor response daily
• Provide nursing care to campers and staff who require it
• Collaborate with other medical personnel to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain digital log of all camper and staff medical visits detailing time, nature of visit and course of action.
• Process incident reports as directed
• Provide other medical support as detailed by supervisor
