NJ TRANSIT has several exciting opportunities for various levels of Program Managers in the Capital Planning and Programs Department to drive major capital initiatives including Portal North Bridge Expansion, Project Management, Construction Management, and Facilities Improvement. The positions require a Bachelors’ Degree on Engineering, Planning or related field along with 7 -10 years’ experience in planning, design or construction of public transportation capital projects or railroad improvement projects. Position and compensation commensurate with experience.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Assistant Program Manager

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Planning or related field or equivalent and seven (7) years of increasingly responsible experience in planning, design or construction of public transportation capital projects or railroad improvement projects.

Program Manager

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Planning or related field and eight (8) years of increasingly responsible experience in planning, design or construction of public transportation capital projects or railroad improvement projects.

Senior Program Manager

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Planning or related field and nine (9) years of increasingly responsible experience in planning, design or construction of public transportation capital projects or railroad improvement projects.

Director, Project Management

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Planning, or related field, or equivalent, and ten (10) years progressively responsible experience in planning, design or construction of public transportation capital projects or railroad improvement projects. Experience working with government officials and other agencies preferred.
