NJ Dentistry For Children is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Jersey, NJ

We are excited to offer a $1,000 sign-on bonus for this opportunity!

Pay Range $20-$24/hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Dentistry for Children is seeking a passionate Dental Assistant to join our close-knit team in providing top-notch dental care to our patients.

As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients feel comfortable and receive the highest quality dental care possible. You will assist the dentist during procedures, prepare and sterilize instruments, take X-rays, maintain patient records, and provide exceptional patient care. The ideal assistant for our team has a calm disposition and a talent for building rapport with young patients, who may be scared or anxious.

We want you to bring your passion, skills, and drive to help patients achieve beautiful smiles and better health while creating ?wow? experiences at every visit!

Schedule: Monday- Thursday 9:00am-6:00pm; Friday 9:00am- 5:00pm

Location: Jersey City, NJ

What You Will Do

  • Review all patient charts including; reason and necessity of visit, medical history, and x-ray requirement
  • Verify patient information with parent or guardian, according to HIPAA privacy standards
  • Verify the patient has consent for treatment from parent or guardian
  • Advise parent or guardian what to expect in the visit and address any concerns
  • Clean and sterilize all instruments following OSHA and company standards. This includes; scrubbing instruments, packing the instruments and processing them through the statim or autoclave sterilizer

What You Will Need

  • Has a basic knowledge of Orthodontics, Restorative, and Hygiene
  • Must maintain a Dental Assisting License in good standing and complete the CE Credits required by the state
  • Dental office experience preferred
