Nitterhouse Masonry Products, LLC is a family-owned business located in south central Pennsylvania that specializes in producing concrete block, brick, retaining walls, and pavers. Nitterhouse Masonry Products is currently looking for a reliable and detail-oriented for its Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable position.

What will you do in this role?

• Generate invoices and account statements
• Perform account reconciliations
• Maintain accounts receivable files and records
• Produce monthly financial and management reports
• Investigate and resolve any irregularities or inquiries
• Ensure credit is received for outstanding memos
• Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
• Charge expenses to accounts by analyzing invoice/expense reports
• Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal id numbers, scheduling and preparing checks, and resolving purchase order, invoice, or payment discrepancies 
• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
• Report sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices

Where and when will you be working?

The AP/AR Specialist will work in the offices at Nitterhouse Masonry and Hardware Supply. This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday. Regular hours are from 8:00 to 4:30.

Requirements

 What are the knowledge, skills, and abilities we are looking for? 

• At least three years’ experience in a similar role preferred
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations
• Data entry skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to communicate articulately and efficiently with other people within the Company as well as with clients
• Detail-oriented and the ability to prioritize
