Duties and Responsibilities:
Rotating 12 hours shifts.
Various benefits such as bonus, PTO, Holiday pay, Medical, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, Accident, CCI, 401k with up to 5% match. Night shift premium.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- CP is available to work 8-hour shifts, days, mid-shift, nights, and occasional weekends M-F. Some overtime is required.
- Gelatin is available to work 12 hours shifts, days, nights, and weekends on a rotating shift schedule. Some overtime is required.
- Must be able to work in the cold (22C) and Hot (56C) conditions. Multitask and fast pace.
- Collect processing samples.
- Load/unload trucks and bins.
- Operate forklift (forks & clamps) throughout the facility.
- Identify, apply, and store chemicals throughout the facility.
- Clean equipment and building.
- Add chemicals to tanks during CIP.
- Trash disposal.
- Operate pumps, valves, and pneumatic presses.
- Complete processing paperwork.
- Data entry in the company database.
- Follow company policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent schooling.
Experienced Required:
- 1-year previous sanitation experience is a plus (using cleaning chemicals, pressure hoses, etc), preferred but not required.
- Previous training on GMPs, Food Safety, and HACCP is preferred but not required.
- Mechanical knowledge of pumps and valves is preferred but not required.
- Six months of experience with a sit-down forklift.
- Math and Analytical Skills (decimals, conversion, etc).
