NITELINES USA is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Dublin, CA

We are seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team!

Pay & Benefits

  • Estimated Salary (including benefits): $34.70
  • Health Insurance Benefit
  • Paid Time Off - One (1) hour accrual per every 30 hours work up to 56 hours per year.
  • Vacation - effective after one year of service with Nitelines USA, Inc Two (2) weeks paid vacation after one (1) year of service with a contractor or successor, three (3) weeks after five (5) years, and four (4) weeks after 15 years.
  • Flexible work schedule: Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays) between the hours of 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m

Place of Performance

  • The Dental Assistant Services will be performed on-site in the Health Services Department at the FCI DUBLIN located at 5701 8th Street Camp-Park, Dublin, CA 94568.

Education and Experience

  • The Dental Assistant shall possess specialty training from a licensed dentist and/or certification from an accredited Dental Assistant school.
  • The Dental Assistant shall be certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
  • minimum of two (2) years of experience providing Dental Assistant services.
  • Bilingual oral communication skills and experience in a clinical correctional setting are preferred but not required.

Schedule

  • The contractor will normally work Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays), normally

    between the hours of 06:00 am – 04:00 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch period. A session

    will equal to one (1) hour. The facility is expected to require an average of 6-8 sessions per day.

    The Dental Assistant’s schedule shall not exceed 40-hours per week. All sessions, which will

    include full and partial days, will be mutually agreed upon by both parties. The actual hours of

    work will be determined by the Health Services Administrator.

Description of Duties

  • The contractor is responsible for provision of the services as listed:

    • Assists Dental Officer in dental specialty sections: restorative, oral surgery, periodontics,

    prosthetics, and examinations.

    • Retrieve patient’s records and escorts patients to proper dental specialty section; seats and

    prepares patient for attending Dental Officer

    • Assists Dental Officer by preparing dental instruments, essential materials, drugs, and

    medications

    • Passes instruments, retracts tissues, irrigates oral cavity, and operates aspirator

  • Observes patient's responses, and assists patient for dismissal from the Dental Clinic
  • Gives instructions for subsequent dental appointments
  • Makes necessary entries on dental treatment records (both electronic and paper records)
  • Prepares dental treatment room for the next patient
  • Assists in the treatment of emergency cases.

  • Charting for dental screening exams
  • Preparation of patients for periodontal surgery
  • Dental and periodontal charting
  • Places temporary fillings
  • Prepares places, and removes packs
  • Places and removes rubber dams
  • Maintains dental equipment
  • Cleans, sharpens, and sterilizes instruments
  • Performs daily inspection of equipment and makes minor repairs
  • Reports defective equipment, or utilizes corrective action
  • Prepares entries for patient's records
