Description

Job Title: Lead Training Coordinator

Job Code: 106153


Job Summary

Prioritizes and aligns training offerings of technical training team for NiSource Gas Distribution to ensure compliance and the optimization of training needs and resources for Distribution Operations; provides support to end users of Workday Learning to manage and track a broad spectrum of training qualification and testing.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinating the planning and prioritization of technical training.
  • Training department liaison to Planning, Scheduling and Operations to provide requirements necessary to meet customer expectations and the business plan.
  • Review Operation Plans and the translate those plans into operating budgets in regards to training.
  • Keeps abreast of business and training needs that may affect Distribution Operations.
  • Promotes the necessary environment for effective internal customer satisfaction and collaboration.
  • Ensures ongoing collaborative relationships with key internal operations partners, i.e. IC, Planning, Meter to Cash, Integrated Solutions, and special project teams.
  • Partners with operations to track employee movement related to job changes and new hires impacted by assignments
  • Supports Learning Technology Solutions with assignment of compliance related modules to targeted assignment profiles; assign CBT offerings to end users based on business needs
  • Works to ensure optimization and full utilization of training center resources
  • Develops and assigns Scheduled Offerings to business units based on needs
  • Develops, implements, tracks and analyzes reports and communicates to all levels of management on program compliance and learning needs
  • Training needs and training resources are effectively prioritized, optimized and scheduled for existing employees and new hires.
  • Increased recognition and sharing of best practice opportunities, targeting consistent on-boarding and training practices.
  • Focused on continuously improved coordination of scheduling of training and overall customer satisfaction/metrics.
  • Strong, collaborative relationships with cross functional peer groups.
  • Results that meet or exceed operational goals and budgets.

Required Qualifications for Position

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of LMS/Workday Learning functionality, training, Operator Qualification, safety and compliance requirements.
  • Five years' experience in Distribution Operations or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of planning, scheduling and budgeting activities which support Distribution Operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills (analytical and organizational).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to quickly assess and make sound decisions.
  • Experience in collaborating with multiple stakeholder groups to achieve results
  • Demonstrated proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree from accredited institution.

Salary Range:

$65,900.00 - $99,000.00

Summary

This position is in-office 5 days a week, Monday through Friday and not a hybrid or remote position. This position will intake, review, and analyze training requests in support of the Technical Training Team and business partners. With a primary deliverable of producing schedules, this position will require the use of extreme attention to detail, organizational skills, interfacing with various levels of leadership and technical trainers, alongside administrative level access in Workday Learning.
