Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Accounting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience along with a proven track record of effectively managing financial departments. This role requires strong leadership abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices. 

Requirements

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
• Supervise a team of 2-3 accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Coordinate and manage payroll activities, including payroll processing and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning, analysis, and decision-making.
• Lead and participate in financial audits, ensuring compliance and addressing any audit findings.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in accounting and finance.

Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA certification preferred.
• 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Previous experience handling the payroll function; experience with Paylocity preferred
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with QuickBooks is required.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
