POSITION SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
  • Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment
  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts
  • Install and repair electrical apparatus, wiring, & electrical components of machinery and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and install mechanical and electronic components of machinery
  • Repair and replace gages, valves, pressure regulator, and related equipment
  • Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment
  • Install, program, or repair automated machinery & equipment
  • Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, drill, and milling machine to repair machine parts
  • Be able to perform in depth preventative maintenance on any and all equipment
  • Utilize welding skills to fabricate fixtures and repair and install equipment
  • Install and Repair automated and/or manual machinery or equipment
  • Assemble, install and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
  • Read and interpret schematic and prints
  • Upgrade equipment and systems
  • Advise and purchase equipment and parts
  • Improve machinery through redesign when necessary
  • Assist other maintenance associates in their daily responsibilities

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: (NOTE: To be considered for this position, the applying associate should have the following qualifications.)

  • Documented experience (skill level and 3 years) in the field of maintenance
  • Good attendance and work history
  • Must be able to work overtime or odd hours to accommodate production requirements
  • Need to have versatile skills
  • Flexibility
  • Self motivated
  • Good communication skills used within maintenance department and other departments
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • College degree or related experience a plus
