We are looking for a few action orientation, high integrity individuals that have a passion for cannabis! This is a Full-time opportunity to join our team.

We are scheduling interviews, for Support Staff, Supervisor, and Lead Sales Supervisor positions for our Tucson location which is located at :

When : Wednesday, May 15th 2024 from 10am-230p

Support Staff

A Sales Associate is someone who can use their comprehensive cannabis knowledge to guide customers to the appropriate medical or recreational product(s) and provide impeccable customer service while complying with all MD regulations and company policies.

They must provide customers with prompt service and quality products while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.

They should always strive to improve their knowledge of products carried in our store, as well as any new developments relating to cannabis.

Their key responsibilities include greeting customers, placing them in the appropriate queue, operating the call center, and answering customers' questions regarding the different strains of cannabis, their medicinal use, and methods of consumption.

They are crucial to maintaining the flow of the sales floor and keeping the manager or supervisors informed of any complaints or issues that may arise.

They are responsible for helping customers navigate the world of cannabis consumption while abiding by all policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.

Essential Duties :

  • Performing any duties delegated to you during the course of your shift, including side tasks like cleaning and organizing.
  • Be responsible for following any breaks or lunches set by upper management.
  • Be trained on all basic FOH duties, including reception / floater, call center and budtender duties.
  • Follow all company and state transaction standards and procedures (such as MVP and Scan, tag and bag, laying out cash and marking bills, etc.).
  • Takes initiative to understand and abide by Nirvana Center Dispensary policies and procedures described in the handbook.
  • Takes initiative to understand and follow MD regulations to always remain compliant.
  • Communicates with coworkers in a supportive and amicable manner, and understands the importance of teamwork.
  • Provides excellent customer service, and is willing to actively listen to each customer in order to direct them to the most suitable product(s).
  • Functions with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Keeps a clean and organized work area and helps to maintain a clean and organized sales floor.
  • Can perform any duty assigned to them as requested by supervisors or managers.
  • Is familiar with the Dutchies POS system and is able to verify that applicable discounts are given correctly.
  • Scanning identification cards to ensure they are valid and knows that all acceptable forms of ID are government issued, have a photo, date of birth and a signature or other form of biometric data, and are still valid (date).
  • Is well versed on proper cash handling practices.
  • Make sure that all opening / closing tasks are performed thoroughly and in a timely fashion.
  • Understands the proper chain of command and follows it correctly.
  • Always stays in control of the transaction at hand and takes responsibility for any mistakes made.
  • Remains teachable and open to constructive criticism.

Sales Supervisor

Under the direction of the Store Manager and Lead Supervisors, our Supervisors assist with ensuring the dispensary operations run smoothly and successfully.

Your main role will be a Dispensary Associate, meaning you may work in a variety of roles within your shift : Host, Reception, Pick-Up, Call-Center, Budtender.

As a Dispensary Supervisor you are the 1st Responder to the Dispensary Sales Floor. You lead and support the Dispensary Associates by being available to answer questions, assist with items needed and ensure the best customer service experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Participate in refining and implementing best operational rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist in supervising, and directing the activities of the dispensary team.
  • Communicate staff issues to Management.
  • Lead by example to inspire staff to deliver the highest level of customer experience
  • Ensure the safety and satisfaction of both the patients / customers and employees
  • Assume all duties of a key-holding supervisor related to opening and closing procedures, including completed financial reports and cash handling procedures.
  • Ability to assist with customer and employee issues, including but not limited to returns, exchanges complaints, suggestions and compliments.
  • Follow all SOPs in the dispensary environment across all departments, along with training Dispensary Associates on such SOPs.
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment on sales floor and amongst the team.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of products in the store, as well as industry-wide product knowledge
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the current medical and adult-use cannabis law and regulations
  • Proficiency in point of sale & state tracking
  • Ensure the dispensary remains compliant with security, inventory, and local and state regulations.

The duties and responsibilities described here is not a comprehensive list, and additional tasks and ad hoc projects may be assigned as deem necessary.

The scope of the duties and responsibilities may evolve as necessitated by business demand.

Inventory Supervisor

The Inventory Supervisor holds a lot of responsibilities within their location. For the inventory department, this position is expected to successfully lead and analyze day-to-day operations while consistently maintaining store compliance within the State regulations.

The Inventory Supervisor at each location is also expected to successfully facilitate change within their location, acting as a bridge between their support staff, store manager, and employees.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

  • Trains new employees in the company's policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Creating a lunch and break schedule daily and making sure it is followed.
  • Delegation of duties to inventory staff and supporting them throughout the shift.
  • Manages the flow of the store during their shift and can step in to cover any position as needed.

Essential Duties :

  • Oversight of inventory related operations for specific location
  • Ensure that your shift leads are remaining consistent, up to date, and are training properly
  • Lead merchandising opportunities to set standard for sales floor / displays
  • Uphold consistent delegation skills with yourself and your associates
  • Provide proper and clear communication to support staff, your SM, Lead Supervisor, and employees
  • Exhibiting persistent and strong leadership through example and experience

Lead Sales (FOH) Supervisor

A Lead Sales Supervisor's role is to support the Store Manager in day-to-day functions like decision making, communicating with inventory, coordination and assistance of staff, and compliance.

They are an essential line of communication between the staff and the Store Manager and are essentially the manager's eyes and ears whenever they are not present.

They are the best example of a supervisor, and always treat all staff with fairness and hold them accountable to Bloc Dispensary policies and procedures.

They can assume all roles and basic duties of the dispensary, from opening to closing and is ready to take responsibility for what happens during their shift

Supervisory Responsibilities :

  • Trains new employees in the company's customer service policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Creating a lunch and break schedule daily and making sure it is followed.
  • Delegation of duties to front of house staff and supporting them throughout the shift.
  • Manages the flow of the store during their shift and can step in to cover any position as needed.

Essential Duties :

  • Direction and oversight of front of house operations during their shift.
  • Assists the Store Manager with suggestions during performance management, goal setting, and reviews of employees.
  • Helps Store Manager to produce coaching and disciplinary action for staff and is available to sit in during them when needed.
  • Ensures that all staff are abiding by Bloc Dispensary policies and procedures.
  • Takes initiative to ensure that store remains compliant to State regulations.
  • Assists the Store Manager with topics and suggestions for Manager Meetings with Supervisor staff.
  • Assists the Store Manager with topics and suggestions for bi-weekly Employee Meetings with all staff.
  • Ensures that patients experience excellent care while in our facility.
  • Manages the flow of the store during their shift and can step in to cover any position as needed.
  • Addressing and resolving simple customer and employee complaints promptly and effectively to the best of their ability.

Required Skills / Abilities & Education / Experience :

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Works well under pressure and deadlines; ability to multitask.
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate staff.
  • Excellent customer service abilities.
  • Ability to develop and maintain budgets.
  • Thorough understanding of company policies and practices.
  • Associates Degree in Business Management, preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • At least one year of retail supervisory experience is highly preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking throughout the facility.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds at times.
