Seasonal Retail Sales Associate

Location: Boston, MA

Hourly Base Pay: $17 per hour Commission (Up to $30 per hour)

Work Schedule: Weekends (Saturday and Sunday), between the hours of 10 AM - 7 PM

Position Overview:

Are you passionate about sales and providing exceptional customer service? Join our team as a Seasonal Retail Sales Associate for our sunglass company! Having a background in sales is crucial for this role as you'll play a key part in driving sales of our premium sunglass products while delivering a fantastic shopping experience to our customers. This seasonal position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic retail environment during weekends in Boston.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service: Welcome customers with a smile, assist them in selecting the perfect pair of sunglasses, and offer product information tailored to their needs.

2. Sales: Utilize your sales skills to effectively promote our sunglass collections, upsell additional products, and achieve or exceed sales targets.

3. Cash Handling: Process transactions accurately using our point-of-sale system and maintain accountability for cash and other forms of payment.

4. Merchandising: Help maintain an attractive store environment by restocking shelves, arranging displays, and following merchandising guidelines.

5. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and communicate inventory needs to management.

6. Product Knowledge: Stay updated on our sunglass collections, lens technologies, and brand history to provide knowledgeable assistance to customers.

7. Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep the store clean and organized by performing regular cleaning tasks.

8. Promotions and Events: Participate in promotional events and sales initiatives to drive customer engagement and increase sales opportunities.

9. Compliance and Security: Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure the safety of customers and team members.

10. Teamwork: Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.

Requirements:

- High school graduate or equivalent.

- 3-6 months of sales or guest service experience, with a proven track record of success.

- Experience in handling money is preferred.

- A strong sales background is essential for this role.

- Candidates with experience in retail sales, especially in a small business environment, are encouraged to apply.
