Job Description : Ninyo & Moore has an immediate opening for a Special Inspector with AWS / CWI (part-time, or full-time if you also have ICC Structural Steel and Bolting) for our Irvine or Fontana, California office.

The successful candidate will be thoroughly knowledgeable regarding the standards related to the construction and inspection of structural steel welding and bolting.

The candidate must be able to read and understand structural blue prints and current code requirements. Duties will include shop and field inspection of structural steel welds and high strength bolting.

Maintenance of proper and complete files of field and laboratory data, reports, letters, RFI's, and other pertinent field data as well as clear communications with the Project Manager and the client's representatives are required.

Education : Current AWS / CWI certifications is required. Current ICC Structural Steel and Bolting certification is also needed.

Required Skills : The successful candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, 3 years of experience working in the construction quality industry, positive attitude, good organizational skills and a strong work ethic.

Candidate may be subject to a background check and drug screening test. Must have a current valid driver's license and a good driving record.
