DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:Facilitates or manages mid-to-large regional and global projects including planning, execution and transition.Responsible for project oversight, governance, and status reporting.Manages day-to-day logistics of assigned projects, scope and associated tasks. Negotiates authority to move projects forward ensuring timely decisions.Identifies, analyses, defines, and coordinates stakeholder needs and translates them into functional requirements.Establishes, communicates, and manages appropriate project scope change management procedures.Anticipates and identifies potential problems or risks and presents alternative solutions.Creates, updates, and maintains all documentation related to the projects including charters, work plans, timelines, issue/risk logs and budgets.Conducts comparison processes to identify and develop process improvements; provides recommendations on next steps and manages deliverables.Provides subject matter expertise, guidance and design support to the organization.Identifies and facilitates systematic improvements through project management best practices.Trains and mentors less experienced staff.Bilingual: Provides written and verbal English and Japanese translations, as needed.
