Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care to patients in their homes, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety.
- Assist with medical documentation and maintain accurate records of patient care.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and organizing.
- Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals.
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living, such as meal preparation and feeding.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of patients.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role or completion of a certified home health aide training program.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures.
- Ability to provide compassionate care to patients of all ages.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and their families.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of proper infection control procedures.
