GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Insurance Eligibility Verification
• Ensure All Insurance, Demographic, and Eligibility Information is Obtained from Patients
• Prior Authorization submittal
• Ultrasound
• In-Office Procedures
• Surgeries
• Pre-Collection: Estimate Patient Responsibility and Collect Accordingly
• Surgeries: Counsel Patients on Insurance Payments Prior to Surgery
• Procedures
• Deliveries (OB Contracts)
• Set-Up and Manage Payment Plans
• Collect Monies Due at Time of Service
• Copay, Coinsurance or Deductible Payment Collection.
• Emergency/Same Day Procedure Request (Submit Prior Authorizations)
• Meet With Patients as Necessary to Discuss EOBs and Account Balances
• Prepare and Submit End Of Day Financial Reports To Practice Manager and Finance Manager
• Answer Patient calls Regarding Patient Collections and Payment Plans.
• Communicate with Patients Regarding Insurance Issues.
• Document Insurance and Collection Notes in EMR System

QUALIFICATIONS:

• EDUCATION: Must have High School Diploma/GED, some College preferred
• LANGUAGE SKILLS: At a minimum, must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language
• At least 2 years of front desk experience is desirable
• Computer knowledge with experience in basic word processing and spreadsheet programs is required
• Prior experience with practice management software and physician scheduling preferred
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
