We are currently on the lookout for a Materials Supervisor - Quarantine to join the Manufacturing Quality Team. In this role you will lead analysis, validation, and release of product, and manage the quarantine area for non-conforming material.
You will:
- Data collection throughout assembly process
- Establish visual management tools as a basis for continuous improvement
- Monitor, create, and provide test result performance data for KPI boards
- Knowledge about material handling & inventory control
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Support ISO 9001 internal audit process – plan, audit, report and review corrective actions for approval Ensure changes are fully integrated through 30, 60, 90-day follow-up and communication, perseverance, and consistency
- Collaborate with teams to identify and implement product and process improvements - Improve outputs through innovation, application of unique tools, and development of new techniques
You have:
- Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent (engineering degree preferred)
- 2 or more years previous experience in a quality engineer, quality assurance, or related role
- Elevated level excel skills
- Proficiency in Lean tools such as Kaizen, Standard Work, Visual Management, TAKT Time and Cell Design, Pull System (Kanban).
- Previous experience working in an automotive related (OEM plant is a plus)
- Elevated level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
- Highly developed oral & written communication skills
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Leadership, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Considerable experience in quality best practices (practical problem solving, 8Ds, APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), Design of Experiments, etc.)
