The Continuous Improvement Leader supports and assists in the execution and deployment of a plant-wide process improvement strategy. The Continuous Improvement Leader is a change agent responsible for building a culture of waste elimination by driving kaizen, completing assigned CI projects and standardization activities to enhance overall customer experience, reduce costs, and streamline processes.
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the constant review of manufacturing processes to identify Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunities that will result in increased efficiency, cost savings, or Customer satisfaction through measurable KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). Use advanced Problem-solving tools, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Process FMEA, etc. as the foundation for each of the projects. Lead and coach others on lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement. Drive change and improvement. Facilitate Kaizen, Quick hit and assigned CI projects from definition through execution. Coordinate cross-functional resources for these events and communicate the results as required. Establish visual management tools as a basis for continuous improvement, communication, and problem escalation. Track transformation progress through data collection and analysis. Analyze and identify opportunities to reduce process variation, improve process capabilities and optimize process performance. Assist in reporting, management updates, and best practice sharing throughout the organization. Use and execute appropriate lean tools depending on situation, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, JIT, Kanban, Visual Management, Pull systems, Cell Design, Root cause, and 5-why analysis. Monitor, create, and provide test result performance data for KPI boards.
QualificationsPreferred Skills: Project Management experience. Automotive experience. Lean or Lean Six Sigma Certification.
Candidate must have current U.S. work authorization or be TN eligible from Mexico or Canada. This position is not eligible for CPT or OPT.
